so i was told by a breeder that you should feed you knob-tails mealworms. does anyone know whether this is in fact true and if so why? mine seem happy on crickets but i don't know how much i should vary their diet?

Many people with insectivore lizards choose mealworms over crickets for a few base reasons:
1) Their easier for your lizard to catch
2) They dont stink
3) They dont chirp in the middle of the night and drive your lizards and you mad
4) They can be kept in the tank at all times in a bowl they cant escape

All my gecko's are on a pure mealworm diet with waxworms and pheonix worms thrown in.

Knob tails are finicky, at least the ones that I have are. They will occasionally eat mealworms but prefer crickets over anything. So I offer them crickets, even though I hate the smell/sound/visual apperance/crickets in general, because I enjoy keeping these wonderful little critters.
