Gutload for dubias?

I just got a starter kit for a dubia colony for my leos along with some high protien chow for them. Although I'm not entirely sure if it would work as a gutload seeing as it's a dry grain type of food source. It just seems like a more basic diet type of food to keep them alive.[?]
I did manage to pick up some baby carrots on the way home but was wondering if that would be enough of a gutload or if there was anything else that could be fed to them and if there's anything that should be avoided. I've considered getting one of the repashy gutloads eventually to go with the repashy calcium plus but I'd prefer to purchase it in a store instead of online so first I have to find somewhere that sells it or try the next local reptile show.
I've read some things where it states that if the feeder ingests something that is toxic to the reptile, that it could in turn harm said reptile when the insect is ingested. Personally I think this would/could be false but it's better to be safe than sorry.
