I just got my gecko sunday it is now tuesday, monday morning it ate 12 mealworms! Nd then pooped in the evening. Today (tuesday) he didnt want to eat until tonight around like 11 30 or so. He barely ate 4. Nd then got bored or something idk. But I noticed he pooped again today when I wasnt home. I have to hand feed because he doesnt look at the water container nor then mealworm dish I have he always just walks by then. What do I do ? Poop is nice poop too doesnt look bad. Nd its a juvi gecko and small so I think like 2/3 months

He's eaten and that's a good sign! If he eats at least every 2-3 days I wouldn't worry too much about him. He's still adjusting to his new home and will be off balance for a couple of weeks until he settles in. Hand feeding may be stressing him out more. Unless he's really thin I would try to leave him alone for 2-3 days and count the number of mealworms in his dish each morning to see if they disappear overnight. As long as he eats 2 or more every other day or the equivalent he'll be fine :)

Oh I hope im not stressing him out. I just want him to be okay. I thought he culdnt see either so I got a see through dish nd but i noticed the worms stop moving after so long until u touch them so they arnt appealing to him. But ill try to leave some over night nd hopefully he eats on his own. How long out of the fridge do they transform,

Depends on how old/big the worms are and the temperature of your house or leos cage to know the length of time before they pupate. Could be a day or a month. If the ones you have are not moving he probably won't eat them. If they stop moving switch them out every 24 hours or so with ones that are moving.

It probably just ate a lot coz it was that hungry. Now that he's back in shape, it's back to his regular feeding routine. Had the same thing happen to me. My boy ate 8 crickets in just 2 nights when i first got him. Now he could barely finish 3 in a week
