How long does it usually take for a leos tail to grow back, he eats regularly.

It depends on how much of the tail is missing and how old the leo is. I have had hatchlings lose their tails and it's grown back to some extent within a few months. On the other hand, I had an adult lose the last inch or two of her tail and it never grew back. It looked just like a tail that had been airbrushed.
