I'm ALREADY Hooked!!!

I picked up my first species other than leos tonight...a SWEET 1 year old male AFT. I have renamed him Sway...not quite sure why, the name just hit me on the way home. He is very healthy other than some stuck shed, and missing toe tips, all direct results of having no moisture in his last enclosure (he was on sawdust :main_thumbsdown BUT, we'll fix him right up! I am VERY excited you guys...this is the start of something BEAUTIFUL :main_yes:

The best part was the guy telling me he was jumpy, and the last time he was held, he bit the guy. I literally, reached right in, picked him up, and he didn't move an inch :sweetheart:

I didn't want to snap a ton of photos and disturb him further after the hour car ride home...so, here are a few quick pics of my new gentleman, Sway

Thanks Brittney I am SO excited!!! He's a very sweet boy, extra gentle. I was prepared for an un-hand-tamed devil from how they described him...poor thing just needed someone to care about him! I cannot wait to get a good quality amel, they are my complete favorite!

I definitely know what you mean about needing love Heather. I went to someones house to pick up my friends beardie and the guy who was selling it to him had a male normal gecko. He told me that he was really agressive. We went into the room so I could see him and the poor thing didn't have any lighting, other than what was lighting the room. Did not have any heating, nothing. Just sand and a lump of wood to climb on. I don't even remember if I saw water. I want to get him out of there, I am sure all it would take is daily handling to calm him down, but I don't have the money right now to buy him.
