introducing new fatty

ok so a few weeks ago I got my first fatty after my berber skink died
he is a male and his name is beefcake
over the past few weeks I have fallen in love with him and would like to get him a lady friend
I would be estatic if they bred but I wouldn't care if they didn't, although if she is gravid or they do their buisness I will make an incubator and I am completely willing to caring and raising some cuti pies and would love doing so even tho it is very very hard and underestimated by many

so the main question is when I get the female how should I introduce them and eventually make them roomies
I was told to do it in brief "play dates" or take the male out of his cage introduce her to his cage for 15mins and vise versa
also the female I am getting laid an egg at the pet store but I don't think it was fertile or what they did with it

Keep them separate for at least a month to insure tha no one is sick and avoid contagion. A few trial visits is a good idea. You may decide that since they're doing well together, you can just leave them together after the first meeting. AFter they're together, check over the next few days or weeks to make sure that they're both eating and that no one is looking scratched up.
