Juliet seems to have gained a lil bit since she had a visit from Romeo (Electric from Kelli):

Show off! Gosh I love that gecko...and your bed sheet :)

Yah, you know what? I read all the threads about mimicry/mimesis, and that leos do it, too, especially Tangs, and assimilate the color of their substrate. Juliet is kept on brown hydroton clay balls. She was on the green bed for just three seconds (then she ran off), and she came directly from the clay balls. She looks like always, and not brown. I was worried the substrate might dull her down. My other Tangs all look like chocolate Tangs, and I thought it comes from the clay. Some Tangs do mimicry, others don't? It's not the heat; they have a UTH.

Oh, by the way, it's only a bed SHEET, because I sold the bed to transform a bedroom into a gecko room full of tanks ;-)

PS: Isn't it late for breeding at this part of the year?[/QUOTE]

I keep some males together with their harem year round. Juliet just joined Romeo for the start of the 2012 breeding season. Her quarantine time was over, and she was big enough. Yes, this way some of them lay sooner than those who get put together in spring. I always have females that lay in any month, anyway, because they have stored sperm. It is nice to have a few eggs in the incubator at Christmas! Right now, I don't have any....
