miscalculation

I swithce to deli cups for my eggs but it left me the problem of room..My hovo will be full soon.can i use a heat pad to incubate my other eggs.If i put my deli cup over the heat pad for 82 degs will that work.

I dont think that it would hold stable temps. Maybe if you rigged up a box with the heat pad inside (to help reduce temp fluctuation) ...I would suggest just getting another hova though.

yeah i just got another one but i was hoping to strictly get some males in the second hovo.I could temp at middle of the road temps and get mixed but i wanted to dictate exactly how may males I could hatch

Why not get a little 5.5 or 10 gallon tank and cover the top with plexi?? A 10 gallon would give you room for a couple deli cups and they are cheap

How many eggs do you put in each deli cup and how many are you expecting? I used sandwich gladware containers, could fit 4 in the hovobator (and possibly a small round container in the middle) and had up to 40 eggs incubating at the same time.
