So I was really irresponsible today (my grandmother was an enabler!!!) and blew half my paycheque on the tangerine at the petstore.

There were more reasons not to get her. She cost twice what a breeder would charge, petstore lizards are always sketchy, I had to buy another UTH, cave, water dish for my old 10 gallon, etc. etc.

But in the end, she's been in this petstore for at least two months and every time I visited her, she didn't want to climb off my hand again. She's such a sweetheart. And I've always really like tangerines.

Decided to call her Bellis. It's the genus name for "daisy", which was my great-grandmother's nickname (who just died in July) and whose birthday it is today.

I was considering introducing her to my male after quarantine but have kinda decided against it because he has a history of being nasty and he's pretty big. Which kinda works out well because my grandma rather likes her in the living room, haha.

That's what's going on with my grandma, haha. Everyone was really worried about me moving in with her and bringing my Leo with me but Mort actually has her wrapped around his little toe. Spiders, on the other hand.....

Totally! But it depends on region too. Lizards and lizard stuff are more of a commodity in Vancouver, I guess because I can get a UTH, a light fixture and thermometers in Alberta for the same price as just the UTH here (30 bucks). I'm wondering if it's worth it to nip across the border though.
