This is somewhat old news (May 2009), but considering the recent political climate I thought it was appropriate. The Humane Society of the United States is a LOBBYING MACHINE, and zero money goes to benefiting animals in local shelters. Reminds me of another animal activist group (PETA). e_e

Please NEVER send your money to HSUS. If you're going to donate, send it to your local Humane Society. Or, even better, donate to USARK or The Nature Conservancy.
