Regarding super raptors & super novas. What the heck is going on?

For those of you that don't know, I decided to pair my Super Raptor female and my "Dreamsicle" male this year, to hopefully produce Dreamsicles, Mack Raptors, Super Raptors and Super Novas. You will understand why that is in quotations in a minute.

After being bred, this girl laid me 12 eggs, 9 of them being fertile. So far, 5 eggs have hatched. And from what I can tell, I believe they are ALL Dreamsicles.

Photos of the first 2 clutches: http://geckoforums.net/showthread.php?t=87780

This morning, the 5th baby poked its little head out. At first I thought it was dead, and I was bummed, so out of curiosity I helped it out of it's egg to see what it would have been, and it jumped up onto the back off my hand. I believe I soiled my pants at that point. It was about 6am.

This thing has VERY little patterning. But it still has a "pattern" per se, so I think what i'm seeing is a very lightly patterned dreamsicle. There are two faint spots over both shoulders, and some SUPER SUPER faint blotches on her head. Almost un-noticable. Here are some photos:

My question is: Do super raptors and super novas HAVE to hatch with absolutely NO patterning? Could this one be something besides a dreamsicle? Or am I just faking myself out.

Here's my other question, and this one is KILLING me: Could my "dreamsicle" male be a Nova? He's never proven himself as a dreamsicle. He's only bred once, to a Mack Raptor, and produced one hatchling, the spitting image of said "dreamsicle" in question. Here is dad:

So basically what it comes down to is, if I don't produce a Super Nova or a Super Raptor from this pair, I have STILL not proven my "dreamsicle" male as a dreamsicle. Which really, REALLY infuriates me. And in that case, heads will roll...

Please someone help figure out this mystery.

To answer your questions about hatchling super raptor/nova. Of all the ones I have hatched from both I got a variety of pattern on them...but always in the SS form. As far as the dad he can be either...hard to tell at that age (as you know).

I just find it kind of funny how every hatchling this year is a dreamsicle. Dad has always looked sort of yellow, and looks nothing like any dreamsicle i've ever seen. But he comes from a well known breeder, so I never really thought to question HIS morph, until now.

He's 4 years old. I don't think he's changing any more? The last photo provided is a picture of the father of all 5 dreamsicles.

I was meaning its easier as they are younger. He looks like he could most certainly be a Dream to me...lets just hope you are having a bit of bad odds with the morph gods. With your remaining eggs I hope you catch all Super Raptors/nova. Your Dream has not been paired with any non snow yet? Do you by chance have a younger picture of him?

He does look like a Nova too me, sorry...

But, lets see what the other eggs hatch out as first. If you get 100% Dreamsicles/Mack Raptors, and the father looks like that, i would say that he was mis I.D.ed by the original breeder.

That is what i'm afraid of...and i've had it in the back of my mind since i've owned him.

I'm really hoping Travis is right though, and maybe i'm just having really sucky odds with this pair.

This is a picture of him the day after I bought him from the breeder. Who will remain anonymous at this point.

This is a photo of his one and only hatchling from pairing him with a Mack Raptor (who passed away shortly after laying this clutch)

currently looks exactly like his dad:

The clutchmate to the fifth hatchling is due tonight. When it hatches I will update with pics.

Well lets see what comes out of that egg...and then we will go from there and try to figure this out. I am hoping you catch it on this egg though.

He really does look like a Dreamsicle in the first picture. I would say that the breeder made an honest mistake. His son is definitely a Dreamsicle from his hatchling photos, but look a lot like a Nova as an adult as well.

I would personally keep the breeder anonymous as well, as I don’t think he/she mislabeled this gecko to deceive anyone, if he/she mislabeled it at all.

Well guys, baby #6 is a Mack Raptor. I'll post pictures when I get her out of the incubator. I'm almost positive I know what's going on though.

My babies are gorgeous, I love them very much. I am not thrilled about this whole situation here though. Im actually pretty upset. I'm not sure what I'm going to do, if anything.
