My egg starting sweating Sunday night. Unfortunately I didn't cut it until today...poor little thing was already dead.

I've been told that this could be due to low incubation temps (80 degrees).

I'm just sad right now, but I think I'll kick the crested eggs to the curb and raise my incubation temps for the leo eggs.

Any suggestions on how to raise the temp? Some eggs have been incubating since 7.22

Thanks everyone.

Aww that sucks. I just had some eggs go bad and they were only a couple days off. I don't candle anymore so they could've been infertile though. I wouldn't raise it more than a few degrees, but as long as it's steady it'd probably be ok. Good luck!

I'm so sorry to hear this! I understand how sad and frustrating it is to lose babies that are so close to hatching.

You can raise the temps slowly, one degree at a time. If you are using an Hovabator, it's a little tricky... but you may want to remove your crested eggs and incubate them at a high (75-78 degree) room temperature. Find the warmest room in you house, and put them up on a closet shelf.

My thoughts are with you...
