separation anxiety

So Jon and I are headed to New Orleans today until next Saturday. We dropped Puzzle off last night at our friend Mike's house. We spent an hour just showing Mike how to feed him, and coat the crickets, and change his water and hide substrate, etc. If I had to leave him with anyone, it would definitely be Mike because he is like the most responsible person I know.

Puzzle settled in and ate 7 crickets, so I feel better that he ate. It makes me less worried. But I'm still missing him like hardcore. I woke up in the middle of the night and it was weird to not have his tank there and peek at him wandering around his cage. It was weird going to sleep without his moonlight bulb dimly lighting the room.

I know that he's safe and in good hands, but I'm having separation anxiety. Has anyone else ever been through this, or am I just crazy?

Thanks I like to think I am a good mommy. I think I will message my caretaker today and see how little Puzzle is doing.

Hahaha!! Yeah, I know. It seems so long to be away when I just got him. I checked in with Mike a few times, though, and he's eating well and everything. :main_thumbsup:
