congrats again Pat. don't know about the stripe. I have herd stripe is dom but maybe the patty gene and lineage has something to do with it.

Looks like you have got a Patty Stinger.

:main_robin:what is that on his rear leg. blood vessel?

You get two Patty AFT’s from a possible het breeding and you’re complaining it isn’t striped? :main_laugh:

Guess it’s Dom.

Great looking hatchlings none the less.

Oh no not complaining abotu not being stripe, just curious about the genetics of it. Because i have never had the stripe gene act in any other way but recessive, but obivously here its not the case..lol

The red on the back leg is a small piece of yold sac that he has now absorbed this am.

My theory is the "stinger" is just a by product of the patternless line, has it been proven genetic and what is it??

I agree with pat, if you look at the het patty mike p(sorry mike for involving you LOL) has for sale it looks alot like a stinger! up till now my 15 plus yrs of working with fatties has proved the stripe to be recessive, banded animals from 1 striped parent have always produced stripes when bred to a stripe but bandeds from bandeds dont, even when bred to a stripe. and bandeds from stripe parent bred to eachother also produces stripes, and Im not a know it all, but doesnt a dom or co dom trait need to be shown to be passed down to offspring? for example an enigma sibling to an enigma sibling wouldnt produce enigmas would it??????

ps pat look what you started by stealing my incubator LOL you should ve just left them here :)
