Taking the male out?

Do you take you males out? My male and female have lived together since the lady I bought them from bought them almost a year ago. Right now my female is laying. Will they stop breeding once the season is over?

Yes they will stop producing and mating as well. I keep my males and females together most of the year. The males stop trying to mate with the females around June/July. The females start laying around Feb. and stop around Aug.
