Tips on helping gecko shed?

Mk, some of you know i took in 2 MBD geckos and one was droped and broke her jaw and front legs. She has trouble getting around and such blah blah blah. Today she's been in shed all day. In her moist hide and all that but as of yet no tares in her skin. Last time i had to remove it all myself as she cant bite it well enough(Her jaw is getting much stronger, just for the record) So im worndering if anyone has any tips on getting the skin to split somewhere just enough for me to help with tweezers. Last time she had managed a tiny bit on her tail and i worked from there but its been over 24 hours and as of yet nothing. She's super stressed too, normally she'd allow me to handle her to check her over and all that but now she sees my shadow and GONE. for a gimpy gecko she's fast. Im not sure what to post this under as its a shedding question so if this is the wrong place admidistrators do feel free to move it to its rightful place. I attached a pic of the 2 just coz there so cute and real fighters. She's the one SHTCTB with the funny legs. The other ones doing alot better. eating on his own and everything.

ALSO TIPS ON REMOVING OLDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD SHED?! im having lots of trouble with there toes. i soak them everyday and try to get it off but all i manage is a tiny bit and its not going fast enough, the one whos doing betters toes falling off and its breaking my heartD: I feel like im failing them. So any tips on that would be very helpful too. thanks for your time

im very inexperienced, but, i can give you a suggestion at least.

ive seen shed videos where geckos will rub against something to help it tear.

are the geckos able to move around a lot?

one of those habba hut tree bark hide thingys might help (or something similar)

basically tree bark for them to grind against to get the skin off - ive seen a few shed videos where the gex will use something rough to help tear the shed

they do 20 hours out of a day the other 4 hours they get no hides and are under a UVB light like the vet said. they do have a hubba hut but they only hide in that. Plus Trouble cant rub on anything, its a mericle she can walk apparently. Thanks tho! i really apperate it! i did manage to get it all off, she didnt wanna be bothered but i got it all;D

okay dont have a go at me for this because it sounds cruel but in this case it may be necessary. to help it get its skin broken, pick it up, with both hands, nice and quickly so it alarms the gecko, this will mostly likely cause her to run. but if you haver a hold of her, keep a good hold of her, and her wriggling out of your hands should break her skin. (if its ready to come off)

oh and btw, its not an SHTCTB its just an SHTCT, the 'B' is for baldy, meaning nothing on their head, and from the picture she does have markings on her head.

UVB light and no hubba hides?!?! Wow. I think you should get liquid calcuim something called calcuim glusone. You can get one from vet, it can help them with their MBD conditon.


Orrr you could get Zilla's calcuim liquid from petstore to give them drops everyday so they can improve.

Lol i know it sounds funny but the vet said to take all the hides out for 4 hours a day so they have to be under the UVB light otherwise they'd jsut hide. Its doing wondeers;D i did get liquid calcuim stuff from the vet. Id have to check what its called but that sounds right(or close to right). Thanks tho for the bit, even tho i already got it down lol. Also Jordan sorry was in a rush to type that i had my SHTCTB(sabaku) out and he kept being a bother and i was thinking of him while writing. and i did get it off. I just petted her and a bit of the skin came up on its own so i just winged it and used tweezers and it tore on its own. then just went slow and took it off bit by bit...poor girl cant even get her own shed off. she did try to help tho maybe next shed she'll feel up to it and do it herslef;D heres hopin!
