I feed some crickets, some mealworms, some super worms, some orange spotted roaches. And some of them like to eat two or three of the choices.

Mostly crickets and the occasional bubia. My 2 wont touch mealies though I wish they would. hopefully when our dubia colonies are larger they will get to have more they seem to like them.

I want some AFT but i am afraid to buy some and find out they dont want the Mealies:main_huh:

I guess i should buy some baby AFT's and try feeding them mealies!
I think that might work, what do you guys think?

i think it would probably work. when they are young they will go after anything that moves. i have one that wont eat mealies, but i dont think it saw one till well after it was an adult. the other two i have will eat mealies, but i got em when they were young.

Chubby LOVEEEESSS crickets. Even though she likes mealies too, she goes crazy for some crickets. Recently she's been hiding a lot though.. hmm..

I voted for Mealies. Two weeks ago I would have voted for crickets though. I just started introducing mealies and wax worms and mine LOVE them! They actually like the worms more than the crickets which surprises me. They are all almost adults. Male over 55g and females in the 40-45g range.

id say ask for one or two mealies the next time you get crickets and see if they will like then, one or two meal worms is a fine investment if it means widening their diet.

I voted from crx partly because mine all eat them and don't care for mealies-when I used to offer them they turned their nose up at them

However-call me paranoid but I would not touch meal worms with a 10 foot pole after everything that has been going on-even though my bug guy is a small private breeder and he does carry them

But of course-that's just me
