Hey guys,
I bought a new male yasterday, he already ate.
Now when i put a female in his cage, he bite her in the head, luckley nothing serious happened, I dont see any blood, and the female is acting ok.
I put the female back in her cage.
What do you think that cause it? maybe the male is in stress?
Thanks.
BTW the female is normal and the male is blizzard.

males will bite the female's neck, head, and tail normally when he wants to mate. shouldn't be a problem unless she fights back. then the "she" might actually be a "he" and then you've got trouble.

Just out of curiosity, why are you dumping a male straight into the female's tank the day after you got him without keeping him separate in quarantine?

If he has any communicable diseases or parasites, you've just exposed your female...

And even if he is eating and attempting to breed, you've probably stressed them both out, especially him because he was not allowed to acclimate to his new home.

i have a serious problem here

you need to quarantine your geckos for at least 60 days before introducing them.

lets just say your new gecko has a case of crypto and then gives it to your female and then BAH in no time two dead geckos and possibly other dead reptiles you might have.
not a pretty scenario huh?
