I've read this in many places. I just received my Dubia today and the first thing I did was place a dish of oranges in there! Can't hurt and it's a good source of moisture.

The person I ordered from said that the Dubia love to have fruit and it's a good idea to provide it to them...whether its an "aphrodisiac" for them is another story :main_laugh:

I throw in an occasional fruit and that's about it. Otherwise, my biggest learning curve has been the correct temperature........once I was able to maintain that temp, they did their thing and my colony took off.

Just make sure that you remove the left over so that mold does not start to grow and cause you problems. Stick with high quality cat/dog food and stay with the gel as a moisture source and you will be find and not have to worry about drowned roaches.
