Crested gecko food questions

I give my crested gecko, CGD (Crested Gecko Diet)

How often should I change out the food in his cage?
Black dots are forming in it about an hour after I make the food... What are they?
I heard food will turn moldy if humidity is too high, how high is that?
I don't really see a difference in his food when I change it out... How do I tell if he is even eating it?

Which CGD are you using? I change mine every 2-3 days. I have a few that seem to like it more the second day when its a little more acidic. I don't have black dots forming on mine so no clue what you're seeing. I use a mix of Clarks and Pangea diets. I mist my cages twice a day and let them dry out 100% to room humidity (usually 60% or so) in between. I skip or just give one squirt if there is still condensation the next time I plan to mist. It's tough to tell if some of the little ones are eating so I look for poo. I keep all my babies on paper towels so it's pretty easy to tell.
