Driftwood in garden that had fertilizer used..thoughts?

I want to put a piece of Driftwood into a display enclosure, but it was in a garden that's soil was supplemented by fertilizer. I think it was some kind of organic fertilizer, but still.

Should I use it? Been scrubbing it and soaking, plus boiling water to kill bugs and all that.

Look up ways to bake it in the oven. Once done after baking it should be fine.
