I currently use the z500r...if you can find that at a cheap price and your room does not fluctuate in temperature its perfect.....I use zoomed heatpad but unless im mistaken its basically the same thing...unless exo's heatpads are different in someway.

I highly recommend looking up Hydrofarm's digital thermometer.. they are less than 30 bucks on Amazon and all of mine work like a champ (I have 5 of them). They have little sensors like a digital thermometer that you attach to the hot spot of the tank and they can regulate the temp from there.
