gecko will only eat from tongs

Hey guys I have a 4 month old leo I picked up two days ago. For the past couple days the gecko wont eat out of his bowl, he'll just walk right by them, and will only eat meal worms if i hold them in front of him. When i do start tong feeding him he'll eat like he's starving. Just wondering if that's normal for a young gecko or is there something else I could do.

Welcome to GF! Your gecko is training you well. You could do the tongs feeding right over the food bowl and then just drop the worm into the food bowl when the gecko gets interested. Or you could decide that you like tong feeding.

Ive been feeding with the tongs this past few days but today my little leo didnt eat anything first time he didnt want to eat throughout the day. He did lick at a mealie but then turned away.

They don't necessarily eat every day.
