It's certainly worth doing a bunch of online research. Briefly I can tell you that the giant day gecko comes from a tropical environment. If you're keeping it in a screen enclosure like the chameleon, it will not have enough humidity. It's an active gecko that needs at least an 18"x18"x24" enclosure if not larger. It will either need full spectrum lighting or will need to be maintained with good dietary supplements so it gets the calcium and vitamin D3 it needs. It eats crickets and some brand of "crested gecko diet" that should say "full diet" so all the nutrients are provided. It has sensitive skin so shouldn't be handled and if the basking light it needs is too close to it, it could be burned.
