I use Moss mat on the bottom of my leos tank instead of sand and so far its been good but tonight while feeding her I noticed that she sometimes misses her food and bites into the moss and then other times when worms have attached themselves to the bottom they carry tiny pieces of it in their legs when she eats them.

She struggles to aim when she eats and sometimes completely gets it wrong but she's never actually taken moss from the bottom before, does she need to be taken to a vet immediately or do I see how she goes?

Should I change the bottom of her tank?

Moss isn't a good substrate at all for leopard geckos. Tile, repti-carpet, paper towel, news paper, eco earth, or excavator clay are much better than moss or sand.
