How long until adult colours?

How long does it take for a hatchling to look like its parents as in its adult pattern and roughly big size?
Because I have a baby that I hatched just under 3 months ago... and it STILL has the banding and no spots. :S All the others, born before it, looked spotty like their parents after a few weeks. Why is this?

It would be good to see pictures to assess. I find that Tremper albino banded geckos keep the banded look for quite awhile. I'd say that by 3-6 months the gecko is largely how it will be as an adult, but some of my stripes often continue to add spots for up to a year or more. The gecko in my avatar, whose picture was taken when she was over 6 months is now very spotty.
