Paper Towel Trick

It may be coincidence but I was one of those people having trouble getting my females to cooperate. I read on these boards about putting some of the paper towel from my males tank in to the females boxes.

3 weeks later I had two successful matings both on the first try after putting in the paper. One was even the first try for that female. For those of you having issues with ovulation and mating introductions I highly recommend trying this out. If you don't use paper towel you can move some of the medium out of the moist hide.

We do something similar with difficult to breed rabbits 'cept we usually just put the female in the male's cage overnight and that usually does the trick. Altho I imagine moving substrait insted of enclosure will be less stressful on your females.

I do the paper towel trick and its usually successful after about a week. May not need to wait 3 weeks for those that are impatient like me

This is totally true. I was a little scarred from having the male and female fight so I gave it more time time than necessary.

I just successfully did this too. Now one of my females is gravid.
