My husband and I are new to breeding (T. chazaliae) and I recently had an egg hatch early with a poorly formed neonate. Unfortunately, it didn't make it, but I haven't had anything else like this happen and I am using the same incubator for all of my eggs. Is there anything that causes this that I should be aware of? This egg hatched at less than 2 months, while the others have all taken 4+ months. I'm incubating at 82F. Any help or insight would be much appreciated.

4+ months at 82F seems awfully long.
I usually incubate at that same temp and all mine hatch at 55-65 days and have all come out without any problems.
Are you using an official incubator or a home made one?

Not sure how much help you will get about T. chazaliae since this is the Leopard Gecko section of the forum. I would suggest asking in the gecko section that applies to these geckos. I am sure you will get much more help there.

Oops totally glossed over the T. chazaliae disregard my first comment, thought you were asking about leopard geckos because as SC Geckos stated this is the Leopard Gecko section.
