Putting a plant in C. mitratus cage, advice

I have a peperomia that I'm putting in with my mitratus female. I've done my research on the plant and such, but I'm not sure about the soil. How should I have the soil? The general substrate will be coconut fiber but idk if I should mix in some of the potting soil or even just leave it in the pot and just bury the pot. What do you think?

I have a lot of planted tanks and just plant it directly into the coco fiber. It's fine unless you want to be able to remove the plant, in which case, put the pot in the enclosure.
