The long wait

I'm used to waiting for eggs to hatch, but these are driving me crazy! The first viable clutch of fat tail eggs was laid 10 weeks ago today and are being incubated at 82.5-83. Two years ago, my fat tail eggs took 9.5-10 weeks to hatch in the hobovator. Last year, same male different female, eggs took 8.5 weeks to hatch in the mini-fridge incubator with the SIM at roughly the same temp. The eggs still look great and look about to burst, but it's taking an awfully long time. This is a different pairing and since it's amel x het amel, I'm very excited about the outcome.

That's a long time to wait, I'd be going nuts. Like waiting for snake eggs, ball pythons are 56 days.

It hatched! It hatched! Finally after 72 days a nice big het albino baby hatched. Now I'm waiting on the second one. Pictures probably this weekend.
