This whole "Thanks" thing...

I am SO confused!

There are two apparent areas: Thanks, and Thanked x amount of times in x amount of posts.

I see people with like, 9 "thanks" and they haven't been thanked at all in any posts.

Then I see people that have been thanked maybe about 23 times in 9 posts. And they have zero "thanks".

I have 6 "thanks". But i've only been thanked 3 times in 3 posts.

I'm guessing this system is compleatly different from the system over at Fauna? I am so confused. I am requesting a "sticky" describing how this whole "thanks" system works.

Thanks = How many times YOU thanked someone

Thanked = How many times SOMEONE thanked YOU and in how many posts.

I have to admit it took me like three days to figure it out. I didn't get it
