Okay i mated hue with a girl..

every other time he nips and goes to the neck.. and handles business..


well this time he LUNGED across the tank and bit hard and let go after she bit him back.. I allowed it 2 more times before i separated them (he was not leaving marks)

Would you think this is ok? or should i find a differnt male?

I had similar issues. The female just wasn't receptive at the time. I doubt using a different male would yield different results. I put a piece of the paper towel substrate from the males tub into the females and then a week later it went smooth as silk.
