W&Y is a dominant trait like hypo. In order to create one you would first have to buy one. Since it's dominant no matter what gecko you breed it to you have a 50% chance of producing offspring with the W&Y trait.

Hypo is polygenic, not dominant. W&y acts as enigma would. Many people are thinking it is polygenic though. Time will tell.

I have seen w&y with high white sides and/or white marks on the face. Outcrossing washes the identifying signs as far as I can tell. Leads me to think it might be partly line bred or polygenic.
