Please feel free to tell me whatever you can about this little guy. I have read sooooo many pages, but I am still a total newb... His name is smoke and he is weighing in at 18grams right now. :) I've been told he is a blizzard, but I am wondering if there is anything else unique about him. :D

It's not really a dark blizzard at all. That's about normal coloring, though color is really temperature dependent. And yes, but those would be considered snake eyes. It may just be goofy pigments because I don't see other traits of eclipse but who knows?

I have read that Eclipse/snake-eyes is just random in blizzards and not genetically hereditary. That sucks. Thanks for informing me that this is a natural blizzard color. I still think there is something strange about him because he never changes color. He is that same color under a heatlamp or 10minutes after I take him out of his tank. ?

To me the eyes just look like he's in the dark so they're dilated. In bright lights is it just a slit or does it stay black like that?

For some reason, I can't see the pics, but many blizzards have snake eyes or even solid eyes without having the eclipse gene presents. A white nose/legs would be something to look for , but it can be tough on a light animal. The only real way to know would be to know the genetics and to test breed it.
