Our 7 year old son ask for a pet and really wanted to get something a little different. After lots of research we decided on a Leopard Gecko.
Here is the setup, I will add some pictures of "Oliver" when he gets a little more use to his new digs.

Looks awesome! Here are my suggestions:

-the hammock is an awesome idea, mine love theirs but yours is a little too high. Move it down so he can easily climb on and off it, and not have to jump or free fall at all. That means he should be able to get his hands securely on a surface while his hind legs are still on the hammock.

-unless your ambient temp is really cold (60 or so) the heat lamp isn't really necessary. Do you have a UTH? The floor temps of the warm side should be around 90. Belly heat is the proper heat source so they can digest easily.

-everything else looks great!

Thanks, I will move the hammock down for sure :) The heat lamp is really just for night viewing as it stated on the bulbs packaging, it does throw a little heat but the warm zone does stay between 85-90 degrees with the light on or off.

I do have a UTH and that is working out well.
