K, well these guys are awesome! I am snake owner and was never into geckos but at the last white plains show I saw a bunch out in peoples hands and had to see what there about. I went home with a Lavender Harlequin and couldn't be happier. I just love there attitude, she just rests in my...
Should I be dusting the mealworms when I offer them?
I've just been putting them in a little dish, without dusting. I dust the crickets, but I just thought of dusting the mealworms, should I be?
I am going to try and incubate them the best that I can if she really is pregnant. I'm seeing a whitish blotch but its not on the sides like that. Ughhh, this is really weird because she seems fine but she just won't eat. She doesn't even show intrest. She has a decent personality as well...
also, don't use duct tape this can cause injuries as well. When I get my rack going, I plan on using paper towel as well. I wouldn't worry about burning them as long as you have a thermostat. Rheostats and dimmers work great too as long as you are able to keep a constant watch, but for people...
i think I am, but I don't know for sure, it really does look like an egg though. I will post pics of her belly later, I don't have my camera right now.
She is seperated from the male. I got her in a 10 gal with all the nessacrey stuff too. I have had her for 7 days now about, and the other ones seem to be eating ok. Is there something I should do, or maybe I should take a pic for you guys? I'm not sure how great the pic will look though...
As some of you may know I just adopted three geckos, but I am having an issue with one of them. They were a trio in a 20gal long, 2 females, 1 male. I seperated one of females because I noticed that she seemed very stressed. She wants nothing to do with any bugs I throw at her, and she seems...
Hey I think I'm going to start offering Dubia's for sure now as my staple for my leos. Before I do, what should I order? They seem big for a leo, but I have watched videos of them eating them so I guess its ok. So basically I just want to know "for sure" that I can order adults and stuff...
I have done a lot of research on these guys, and they need temps of around 80-85 degrees in order to breed. I'm sure you can use heat bulbs from the top as well. I'm not sure if a UTH is going to generate enough heat to heat the entire bin. If your house runs cold normally it might be tough...
Hey I was wondering If anyone has any info on these guys. They seem like great treats and very nutrious, so I want to start raising them myself. Anyone know how, or just where I can get info?
Also when your feeding dubias, or a horned worm how long of a period in between feedings do you allow? And how many of each would you reccomend offering to a leo?
yeah I was having a really hard time finding those tomato worms. I wanted to use them just cuz they seem a little less gross to deal with. Whats the difference between mealworms and superworms? All i know is when I went to get "superworms" the woman looked at me like I had 10 heads. She said...
Alright, I got 3 leo's that i just adopted and some of them seem to be picky eaters. One of them semed to enjoy the mealies/crickets, the other only crickets, and the other one didn't eat anything. I'm wondering if maybe she might be gravid. 2 females and 1 males were housed in a 20 gallon...
