I keep two uromastyx. They both are on sand, and I bought a couple of hides and buried them halfway at an angle, so that it looks like a cave inside. They dig it out and Viola!! They both love the caves, and I also got them the half logs, for the cool side. They curl up underneath them and...
I'm sorry, but 20 grand... I couldn't see spending that on a snake. Don't get me wrong, I love snakes, and I understand the work put into selective breeding and all, but holy cow. That's completely excessive, no? ( I'm not saying I don't believe you, but sheeesh!!)
He is doing verY well. I think it may have just been sore from when he fell. He was chasing crickets all around the tank today. He still has a slight limp, but nowhere near as bad as before. He's been eating like a champ, and is very attentive. Thanks for the advice everyone.
I do very much agree with that. I have two healthy fat uros, and they get salt on their snouts very once in awhile, that is normal and cannot be helped. But they also have their cages cleaned out every other day, and the temperatures are nice and hot for em. Uros are fantastic creatures, my...
Nothing like some positive criticism, huh? Where do you get off speaking to people this way?? Nobody here is you child, or your student. We are all on here because of a common interest and because we all want to learn from one another. You could have very easily corrected this statement with a...
Gorgeous bee!! Where did you get yours? I'm getting my cousin a bee for her Bday cause she's into breeding and she talks about them all the time. I don't know how much they are or a good place to get them from.
Ok, I woke up this morning, and he seems to get around, but when he is still, his limbs are really twitchy. He ate a few crickets that walked in front of him, but he didn't chase any if them. I also hand fed him a super worm that he gobbled up. Anybody know what's up with the twitching?
Just got done with his warm bath and a short session with a homemade ice pack and another short soak. He seems to be feeling better, though it is late for him, so he pretty much went and curled up under his log in his usual sleeping spot. But he was swimming around no problem in the bath and...
I have my two juvi beardies in a 55 right now, until they get bigger. Then they're moving to the 100g. How about a golden or Mali uromastyx? I have a couple of them and they are absolutely fantastic. Hearty, easy to care for and they have tons of personality.
I cannot tell you how much you just made my night. I've been refreshing my screen every couple of minutes to see if anyone would write back. Thanks for the advice, I'm drawing a bath right now. If anybody else has anything please let me know. Thanks again!!!
