Would it be safe to use a matte finish spray clearcoat? The styrofoam will be coated with grout so it won't melt. If I allow adequate curing time for the clearcoat would there be any fumes or chemicals present that could harm my geckos? Is sealing the grout even necessary?

I don't have a UV bulb. The fluorescent fixture is there to provide a day/night cycle. The infrared heat lamp is on 24/7.

The tank has just been relocated and I added an aloe vera plant as well. Actually, I put the plant in the tank because the cat would have destroyed it otherwise. I've capped the potting soil with some river rocks so that the girls can't swallow any of the soil by accident.

Does the tank hold water? If so, take it outside and put it somewhere level. Dump a gallon of vinegar into the tank and top off the rest of the way with water. Let it sit for a day or two before trying the razor again. Then dump the water and rinse it really well. That should get rid of most...
