Hello everyone! I am new to the Leo world, but not because I havent wanted to be here sooner. I have always wanted one, because they are so beautiful! Anyway, here is the issues I am having with her. She is supposedly a 4 year old Mack Super Snow (i think, not sure about her morph. have a pic of her in my profile). She has a sand substrate, which i think has to do with her lack of appetite. She hasn't eaten in the 2 or 3 days I have had her. And the lady that I got her from said she hadnt fed her "in weeks". She also has one eye closed a lot of the time, and when it is open it is very cloudy and dark in color. I am disabled and cant afford vet bills, but am more then willing to try any home remedies you can offer. Please let me know. Thanks!!

Uh my best bet would be repiratory infection or other problems. this is very serious and can be a very costly thing:( I can tell you love this gecko very much so try force feeding it which you can google on youtube:) also try to look @ the hole(where it goes to the bathroom) and check for little plugs. if it has those, im sorry to say it has fatty liver. the best thing to do for it if it continues not to eat is to leave it outside and let nature do its duty:( (i would say it to get euthanized but...). Best of luck!!

Pics of the eye ??? A lot of times turtle eye drops (from Zoomed) will do the trick and as far as the not feeding what are you offering it ?? If its haveing trouble seeing its gonna have trouble catching crickets so try worms and place them infront of her

Thank you Gonz for replying! Here is a pic of her eye. I know its not the best, but her eye looks really gnarly. I think you may be right about the crickets, because i noticed yesterday a few droppings so i know she is passing. Maybe I will grab a few worms for her. Should i get her dead or alive ones?

To me, it looks like a stuck shed in her eyes. You can try contact solution drops for her eyes. Regarding food; I would try some live superworms or larger mealworms. Is she off the sand now? If not, use paper towel as a substrate to get her off the sand.

Man, i really hope its that simple! I just changed her substrate today. So thats exciting! Also, when cleaning out her tank, i noticed only about half the crickets i put in, along with more droppings, so i do think she started eating! Woo Hoo! I did get her worms today though, so I will let you know how that goes. Can you tell me how to give her the drops, and how often? Thanks!
