This is probably a stupid question to all you experienced breeders but here goes lol... Do leos just mate once and produce eggs throughout the season or do they need to be mated for every clutch of eggs? Thanks

One mating is sufficient to produce clutches for a season. Many breeders claim to have a higher fertility rate in later clutches if the male is reintroduced, though I am not aware of any data to support or refute that claim. I reintroduce my males after a few clutches, it may help and certainly doesn't hurt anything.

My two females are on clutch number 7. although they were infertile since clutch 5. I decided not to reintroduce the male as i dont want them to be laying many more eggs, but i dont know if that will make a difference. :main_huh:
