I dont understand..

i have a couple females.. that have layed between 1-3 clutchs and are no longer making eggs..

its been about a month for most of them and i see not eggs.. and ive not seen them ovulate.

any ideas?

Sometimes the girls do that. Aggravating. My opinion is that they just aren't physically ready, tho they may be up to weight and age. They instinctively know when to lick calcium, or when an egg is infertile, so they must know something isn't what it should be and either absorb eggs or stop producing them altogether. Next year she could lay 10 clutches. They're still a proven breeder and it's a personal call of whether to keep for another season or sell.
