Is a 15 gallon tank too big for a 10 day old hatchling? I have him in a 5.5 right now.

Also is there a way to cut a ceramic tile at home? I bought two 12x12 tiles for my tank but it's about a half of an inch short.

the 5.5 will work until he grows and you can use it as a permanent setup or you can get a bigger if you wish. the 15 gallon will work as a permanent if you use the height to your advantage good luck though

I would think the 5.5 would be great for the baby and maybe a juvie, but as it gets bigger, the bigger tank would be better for a permanent home. 5.5 for an adult seems way too small.

15 isn't too big, you'll be fine. It should last it all its life.

As for cutting, you best seek out Homedepot or Lowe's, some stores will cut them for you.
