Well, this is the 1st clutch weve ever had with any gecko. Laid by KiKi bred with GoGo she laid them somewhere between 12am and 2am this morning, or about that. A pic of the eggs before they were transferred into the hovabator was the only one that came out right. The eggs are firm and kind of craggy looking. How long do you have to wait before the eggs can be candled to see if they have little babies inside?

On another note id like to say were really proud of KiKi. This is her first time being bred and our first time breeding and though it took her a while she managed to pop out two eggs which she loved. She was very sad when we moved them into the hovabator, because she had layed them near her favorite spot and was trying to dig up the reptile carpet and bury them. Sadly that didnt work and afterward she kept sniffing around the spot and scratching looking for her babies.

I think it's a bout a week or two when you can candle them. From the pic they do look fertile but the pics isn't clear and you can't always tell from outside appearance.

She does have a moist lay box but i think she decided to lay them on the floor there because she had previously claimed that corner and the top of that cave as her official territory.

Normally leo's will lay their eggs out in the open like that if they are infertile. Not saying that they are, but they could be. So instead of being disappointed if they are, you should be pleasantly surprised when they aren't! :) Hope that makes sense! LOL
