I am new to breeding but have done my research!

I would like any tips on best substrate to use in a hatch box, vermiculite, perlite , moss etc..
any other tips on keeping eggs in tip top condition!

Tip: Keep any eye on your eggs. If they start to dent your incubator may be too dry.

What do you mean by SHCT Ember? The Patternless gene in the Ember would take out any SHCT influence from the phenotype.

We personally prefer vermiculite, but haven't ever tried anything else due to our great results with vermiculite. What we do is completely soak the vermiculite, then squeeze all the water out by hand. It's worked great for several seasons.

Congradulations!! I have always used perlite myself and have never had any problems.
