I'm so excited. I've had this breeding pair of SHTCTB's from Geckophiles and the first few weeks the female laid an egg and it went bad--some of you remember. Then I was away when she laid another egg and I didn't even know she was gravid. And now! I looked in there today and everything was all disheveled. And I was thinking "what the hell?". Then it dawned on me and I lifted the moist hide out and lo and behold! An EGG!
It's in the incubator as we speak
. Inc'ed at around 83 degrees. Hopefully that is an okay temp to get a 50/50 chance for male or female, since I have no preference at all.
Wish me luck all. The egg looked really good when I put it in! No dimples or anything, perfectly shaped
.
So we'll see what happens in the next few weeks. I'm moving in september, so that will be a bizarre experience I think. :S. Might have to leave the incubator alone.
Any advice while I take care of this little egg?
