Finally a babe! The first GEO hatchling came today, 43 days from lay date. 23 days at 81* then 20 days in the other incubator at 88* with superhatch. We got to see it come out of the egg but the pix didn't turn out well thru the container top and I didn't want to open it and disturb the little one. I'm thinking about using a crystal clear deli cup for the next batch, even tho they're pre-punched, since I did put 4 tiny holes in the top of the cup that came with the GEO set. I've always used pre-punched cups in the incubator with good results. Even adding water if needed, of course avoiding direct contact with the eggs. The GEO insert makes it easy to candle eggs without touching them, thru the side of the cup.

:main_thumbsup::main_thumbsup::main_thumbsup: GEO!!!

Sorry about the lack of pics, they didn't turn out thru the lid during hatch, and I wasn't about to disturb the babe and uncap the deli cup. It was a SHCTB temped female. The other egg from that clutch was infertile from the start but is still in the GEO since it hasn't started to go bad yet. There's still a couple other clutches in that cup so maybe I can get some pics next time.
