I have a female that is in her first year of breeding, and she laid her first clutch 2 weeks after being bred my the male. They look good and fertile so far. My question is that it's been 3 weeks since the first clutch and she was showing eggs about 10days ago but now they seem to be gone (reabsorbed?). She's still 65+ grams and healthy, can I introduce the male again if she ovulates again? Or is she just done for the season?:main_huh:

Could be a mixture of things.. She could be done for the season, you could try introducing her back to the male if you'd like, but some females just lay one clutch and then are done for the season (including one of ours). She laid one infretile clutch and hasn't laid anything since. She gained a lot of weight and is healthy, and is housed with a male all of the time. They may have copulated again, but she still isn't laying because she really is just done for the season. Although, temps are so warm here, we think that she'll be tricked into "the new season" in November or so (she was breeding in November last year).
