2 Heatmat 1 Thermostat?

I have 2 tanks with a heat mat and I have a hydrofarm thermostat but with only one plug. I was wondering if I can put an extension cord on the thermostat so it can power both of the heat mats. Will the thermostat still work with an extension cord and 2 heat mats plugged into it? Will it also heat the mats and shut the mats off when it reaches the desired temp?

Kind if a tricky question. Will it work, yes. But it's not very effective because it us only working off of one probe in one tank. So, yes it will work but it would be more accurate and beneficial for the geckos if you just got another thermostat. You don't want to risk burning you're geckos or keeping them too cold
