Hey everyone, thought I would share a couple little projects me and my wife did. Just got our little gecko "Ecko" and we had made him a couple of hides before we brought him home. Now we've added a bridge which spans the two hides.
The hides were made from that insulation foam that you buy in sheets from Lowe's and the bridge was actually made from the expanding foam made by "Great Stuff" My wife sprayed the whole can onto some parchment paper and let it dry for about a day. Then she's been cutting it up and making all kinds of stuff....haha Anyway here's a couple of pictures
On the hides we used about 3 coats of unsanded grout then a couple coats of Zinser Shellac which is natural and non-toxic.
On the bridge I was out of the shellac so we used Krylon clear acrylic sealer which is also non-toxic.
What do you guys think? We will be upgrading to a 20g Long tank probably in a couple of months so these are sort of practice for a much cooler setup to come!
