3 in 1 hide question

i bought the 3 in 1 hide for my leo about a week ago. i love it. i use it has his humid hide. it says dont place over or under heat source. what happends if i do? also how do i know if theres enough humidty in his humid hide? i started rolling paper towels over the moss so he wont eat it.

I don't know, but I would not try it Dry out and get extremely hot I imagine. I put mine in the center of the enclosure.

Since it's use is mainly for shedding the humidity level is not usually monitored. As long as it remains damp it should be fine.

I use those for my geckos. Love them! So easy to take care of. I keep mine in the middle of the tank so they're not directly over the heat.

My girls and guy love their 3 in 1. I keep moist paper towels in each. But I do keep them over the hot side...hopefully that is ok.

Check to see if the paint is over or under the polyurethane. Heat+ moisture+ paint= seeping chemicals.
Also could create a sauna. But I'm sure that would be more warning if it was a tropical gecko with high tank humidity to start.

Yes, that it. It's best to buy the large so that they can lay comfortably once they reach adult size, but then again I have it in a 55 gallon tank. It does take a few inches of space so you would have to buy according to cage size. IMO it's worth the money. Easy to clean and he loves it.

I have this one for our Leo. She loves it.
She poops on level one and them hangs out on level 2 or 3.
She also loves to climb all over the outside of it like a little daredevil
